Maintenance: Making Sure the Party Never Stops

In our industry, we always want to make sure our players can have fun, no matter the time. Our players deserve to have a seamless experience that’s always available and free of any technical issues. That means we need to be ready 24/7 to make sure that they always have access to our games and that our development and publishing teams can continue evolve our titles. Just think of us as the fusebox, the water pipes, the boiler, and anything and everything else that keeps the house running.

This is our job: to keep everything going. We work behind the scenes and are responsible for ensure that our games run smoothly and are always available for our players to enjoy. And while not every day is as seamless as we hope for the service we provide to our players, it’s truly rewarding that we know we make sure everything is working as intended.

With how rapidly gaming has evolved and something that wouldn’t have been even considered decades ago, one of the key challenges we face in gaming IT operations is keeping the games available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This requires constant monitoring and maintenance to identify and fix any issues that may arise. The team may also be responsible for deploying updates and new content to the games, which requires careful planning and execution to minimize downtime for players.

Managing a large number of hosts, or servers, is another challenge, because it can be easy to get lost in the details. To keep everything organized, we use a variety of tools and processes, such as automation and configuration management to streamline our work.

So, keeping the fun going 24/7 is our top priority. If you want to help us keep the party going, we’ve got the perfect course for you that will be launching soon!
