What will you do?

  • Familiarize yourself with the game and visual style to assist in crafting in-game art briefings
  • Develop game assets in alignment with the envisioned concepts and established guidelines
  • Contribute to maintaining brand consistency across various channels
  • Come up with creative ideas and concepts to enhance the overall aesthetic of World of Warships Blitz, ensuring historical accuracy
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects on time, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Gain insights about industry trends and best practices in 2D art and mobile game development

What are we looking for?

  • Basic proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate
  • Passion for gaming, particularly in the mobile gaming space, with an interest in naval warfare
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, designers, and developers
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and eagerness to contribute to the success of World of Warships Blitz
  • A portfolio showcasing your artistic skills and any relevant projects or coursework

What will help you stand out?

  • Proficiency in 3D knowledge
  • Understanding of JIRA

Who do we consider?

Candidates should:

  • be enrolled (matriculated) as a regular student at a college, university or recognized technical college
  • have studied for no longer than 25 semesters
  • not be on a semester off
  • have not yet completed all required examinations (certificates)
  • be students for the whole duration of the role, June-December 2024.
  • be international students from the European Union (EU) the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland
  • be non-EU international students studying in Germany who hold valid residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis zum Studium, 16b Studium)

Candidates will be required to provide official confirmation about their college/ university enrolment.

Her career began in marketing and social media, where she distinguished herself through her adept skills and keen strategic insight. This foundation allowed Franziska to firstly transition into project management and afterwards to her current role as an Associate Producer, where she has become the core of the publishing department. Her responsibilities include orchestrating seamless workflows across various internal teams as well as managing them, tackling complex project timelines and fostering a spirit of collaboration among team members. From marketing strategies to brand positioning - her responsibilities are vast and varied. Her efforts contribute significantly to the efficiency and success of the World of Warships Blitz publishing operations.

What internships do we offer?

Our internships include unique disciplines related to:

Game dev – 2D/3D Art, Tech Art, Gameplay Development, LiveOps, etc.

Classic software development – Quality Assurance, Front End Development, Back End Development, Analytics, Data Science, etc.

Business – Marketing, Social Media, Partnership Development, etc.

Is it only for students?

Yes, for an internship in Berlin you must be enrolled (matriculated) as a regular student at a college, university or recognized technical college.

Do we ask for experience?

No! It might be a plus but definitely not a requirement.

What do we expect from applicants?

Motivation, eagerness to learn, good English language skills, and enthusiasm for developing games.

How long do the courses last?

They usually last 6 months, with expectations of ones lasting 4 to 5 months.

How many internships can I apply for?

If you think that you can be a IT Business Analyst, 2D artist, and QA engineer all at once, sure, no limit there. But please, have reasoning prepared as to why you applied to each specific internship because you will only get hired for one of them.

Can I work remotely?

Occasionally within the agreement with a manager, yet live presence in the Berlin office is appreciated. This is because we believe in chemistry and synergy shared onsite when people work side by side.

When should I expect a reply?

You should get some sort of reply in up to 1 week after submitting your application. If you did not, check first whether our email did not get lost in your spam. If still nothing, feel free to ping us!

Do I need to provide a cover letter?

We do not require it for this internship as we already have some motivational questions in the application form

What to expect?

Can I work flexible hours?

Yes! We are flexible and happy to discuss how many hours per week you would like to work, taking into account your study schedule if needed. Although, we expect interns to be able to devote 20 hours per week to the internship

What does the hiring process look like?

It depends on the internship, but it normally includes a call with the recruiter, a homework task, and an interview with the hiring manager and other team members, if needed.
